Audio Samples
|
Beatrix's Theme- The underscoring for Beatrix was inspired by water and the ocean. This track is a short sample of some of what was used underneath her scenes. This is not an exact recreation, as all of the real orchestration was done in Qlab, and was dependent on the speakers in the space, rather than used as a stereo track.
Carmen's Theme- This is a sample recreation of some of the content that was incorporated into the underscoring of Carmen's scenes in the woods. Lobby Play- This track was composed and produced by Drew Nichols. It was designed, along with the programming of the lobby installation, to ensure that the notes that the audience members played would always fit within the song as it changed keys. |
Live Electronic Sound-
In this production, a "MaKey MaKey" kit combined with Max MSP was used to turn a prop into a midi instrument that made a variety of sounds that we re-assigned throughout the performance. This technology was used both onstage and in the lobby in a separate installation that was designed for young audiences to play and participate.
